AOKP on Galaxy I9003 SL

Previously, I mentioned about the CyanogenMod ROM that is based on the Android Open Source Project (AOSP). A new kind of ROM has been introduced now which is based on the Android Open Kang Project (AOKP). Although, the UI and objective of both ROMs is same (i.e. giving the users a taste of ICS), they are slightly different from each other. This difference is quite hard to tell so we can skip the details here.

Being a tester of the Android ROMs, I am always searching for the new arrivals in the Android development section of the XDA forum and this was how I found the Milestone (AOKP) ROM by Vurrut. The whole UI of Milestone is quite alluring. The only bug in this ROM that bugs me is the inability to record video due to some Camera incapability with the Kernel although the still Camera works well.

The UI of Settings, Dialer, Messaging, Contacts etc in Milestone ROM is just like that of ICS.

Here are some screenshots.

The default storage directory in this ROM is the external sdcard (Memory card/emmc) which I don’t like since I like to keep my memory card clean and organized with limited folders. There is a way mentioned in the below screenshot for changing it back to the internal sdcard.
